Emily spent five years in the ICU specializing in neuroscience and behavioral strategies with traumatic brain injury patients. Working in critical care teaches you something most wellness professionals never learn: precision matters, communication matters, and the details between "fine" and "optimal" can change everything.
But her own health journey is what drives this work. Like most women, Emily spent years being told her labs were "normal" while knowing something was off. Hormonal imbalances dismissed. Absent menstrual cycles. Fatigue chalked up to stress. No answers despite hours of appointments.
She trained for an Ironman, overhauled her nutrition, and still struggled to find a body composition she felt confident in. Not because she wasn't doing enough, but because no one was actually looking at her data. Jared built the Evans Performance system the way engineers solve problems: by living inside the dysfunction, measuring everything, and rebuilding from first principles. He lost 85 pounds while managing the demands of frequent travel and an executive lifestyle, and has maintained it for over six years.
With a master's in engineering and a degree in molecular neuroscience from Ohio State, Jared brings analytical depth most coaches can't touch. Together with Emily, he built the Evans Performance system from the ground up.
Jared specializes in the performance side: training programming, recovery strategies, and calibrating output based on what your body is actually telling us. He designs the protocols that make you stronger, more resilient, and more efficient.
